Based on surveys of employees working for companies with offices around the globe, for industries ranging from manufacturing to IT, employees agreed on a set of bases that if exist in any workplace would indeed make them happy and thus productive.
The list included not only high pay scales, as commonly thought, but also cool architecture and interior design, spacious office spaces, outdoor areas, greenery views, clean facilities, and relaxation rooms and gyms. Not all entrepreneurs do dare to apply such groundbreaking methods, many think this will waste time; however, world giants became so because they put a lot of time and money into making the perfect work environment, mixing business with pleasure so that the staff can relax and refuel during their breaks. In some offices, they egg-shaped pods that serve as meeting rooms, whereas others have table tennis, soccer and basketball spaces right inside the office.
While having plenty of space for employees to relax and work, and greenery throughout the office, other employees can read and relax in the library, which looks like something out of “Harry Potter”. Rock climbing walls right inside the office are also available vs slides and swings as well for those who wish to go back in time. Sleeping is no crime there, you can take a nap inside a nap pod which completely blocks out light and sound, or you can take a scooter to get from your desk to the pool, or energize your mind creating mock-ups with surrounding Legos.
